July 19th, 2017 was the most special day of my life. It was my 22nd birthday and the day that Jon asked me to marry him. We went on a private wine tour in Niagara on the lake and it was just magical. When we got to the second winery we were visiting, the sommelier on our private tour just causally slipped in that he had his camera with him and wanted to take some photos of us in the vineyard after we finished the tasting. Which I was so excited about because if you know me, pictures are my absolute favorite thing in this whole world. So during the tasting he was following us around taking snaps of us tasting the wines and I was just loving it. Then when we were finally done with the tasting he posed us right in front of the vineyards for our photos. When I turned to Jon I looked at his expression and in that moment I knew what was about to happen. So naturally we both started crying uncontrollably, he gets on his knee and just says “Lia….” then pulls out the most beautiful ring I have ever laid my eyes on. I mean this ring is perfect. And then without even giving him a chance to ask me, I screamed yes!!!! Then after a few minutes of gathering what had just happened, the sommelier said that there was another surprise for “us”…meaning Jon didn’t know about what was going to happen either. (Huge thank you to Jamie💕) I turned around and there was a horse and carriage coming to pick us up to take us to our lunch date. I continued crying uncontrollably because I just couldn’t believe this was happening. Needless to say, this moment was better than how I had dreamt it my whole life and I couldn’t be happier to be marrying my high school sweetheart. Meeting you in 2nd period art class was the best thing that could of ever happened to me and I cannot wait to spend forever with you as Mrs. Castronova.
